Why replace your cabinets?
Replacing your cabinets can allow you to change the layout, function, and storage efficiency of your kitchen or bathroom. Another reason that cabinets need to be replaced is if they are damaged from water, fire, or everyday wear and tear. When you replace your cabinets, the possibilities are endless.
Here are some questions to consider:
-
If your kitchen or bathroom is getting new countertops, then you can change the layout, storage options, appliance and plumbing locations, and increase your storage efficiency.
-
We offer full overlay frameless cabinets, regular overlay face frame cabinets, and inset cabinets. In each of these types of cabinet construction, you can choose any style door and drawer front that you desire.

This can vary depending on the size and quantity of cabinets being replaced. The type of cabinets you choose will also impact your turnaround time. The quickest turnaround time are RTA (ready to assemble) cabinets. For this type of cabinet replacement, you can expect 1-2 weeks for demolition, assembly, and install. For custom cabinets, the turnaround time can be longer than RTA cabinets. The size and quantity of cabinets being replaced will be the biggest factor for turnaround time. For custom cabinet replacement, you can expect 3-5 weeks for demolition and installation. This is just the turnaround time for the cabinets to be replaced and does not include the time it will take for countertops to be templated, fabricated, and installed.

Depending on the size and scope of the work to be performed, as well as the type of cabinets you select, once demolition begins you can expect 1-8 weeks before you have full access to your kitchen and appliances again.

This will depend on your budget and the cabinets you select. There are inexpensive cabinets that are made from melamine-backed MDF, but most of the cabinets we recommend are plywood boxes and solid wood for face frame cabinets. Your doors and drawer fronts will also depend on the style you select. All slab doors and drawers are made from MDF (medium density fiberboard) or HDF (high density fiberboard). For shaker, slim shaker, or raised panel doors, they will typically be made from solid wood with either a plywood or MDF/HDF center panel for paint-grade. For natural wood or stain-grade a solid wood will be used for raised panel for both the perimeter and center panel.

The main factors for pricing cabinet replacement are the type of cabinets, the construction materials, and the species of wood. Ready to assemble RTA paint-grade cabinets are the most economical, followed by natural wood RTA’s. Custom paint-grade cabinets cost more than RTA paint-grade, and can sometimes cost more than natural wood RTA’s. The most expensive are custom natural wood cabinets.
